Overview
This machine sorts shell eggs by weight into fixed grades. It sits between washing and either packing or breaking, depending on what you do with the eggs afterwards.
Grading is usually thought of as a packing requirement — retail cartons are sold by size. It matters just as much on a breaking line, for a different reason: a breaking machine is adjusted for a size range, and feeding it a mix of small and large eggs lowers yield and puts more shell fragments into the liquid.
Two grade counts are available. Five grades suit most breaking operations and simple retail packing; seven grades suit producers selling into markets with finer size classes.
Designed for
- Washed and dried shell eggs
- Chicken eggs
Not designed for
- Cracked eggs, which should be removed at the candling stage before grading
Who this equipment is for
- Egg farms packing for retail or wholesale by size class
- Liquid egg processors grading before breaking to protect yield
- Packing stations handling supply from several farms with inconsistent egg sizes
Less suitable for: Operations where the entire supply already arrives graded from the farm.
How it works
- Washed and dried eggs are loaded onto the conveyor rows.
- Each egg passes a weighing position that records its weight.
- The machine routes each egg to the outlet matching its grade.
- Graded eggs collect at their respective outlets for packing, or feed forward to a breaking machine.
Machine structure
- Multi-row conveyor
- Weighing and sorting mechanism
- Grade outlets (5 or 7 depending on model)
- Drive with speed control
- SUS201 frame, SUS304 contact surfaces
- Control panel with Siemens components as standard
Technical specifications
| Model | Capacity | Installed power | Dimensions (L×W×H) | Weight |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2-row / 7-grade | 4,000 eggs/h | 0.55 kW | 2200 × 1400 × 1150 mm | 200 kg |
| 3-row / 5-grade | 5,400 eggs/h | 0.55 kW | 2200 × 1400 × 1150 mm | 200 kg |
| 4-row / 7-grade | 8,000 eggs/h | 0.55 kW | 2200 × 2800 × 1150 mm | 400 kg |
| 6-row / 5-grade | 11,000 eggs/h | 0.55 kW | 2200 × 2800 × 1150 mm | 400 kg |
Model naming reflects conveyor rows and the number of weight grades. Contact materials: SUS304 + silicone + food-grade plastic.

Power supply and heating
All four models draw 0.55 kW. Voltage and frequency are specified per order.
Voltage options: 380 V / 50 Hz · 220 V / 60 Hz · 415 V / 50 Hz · 440 V / 60 Hz · Other supplies on request
Automation and control
Control components are Siemens as standard. If your maintenance team and your local supplier already work with a different platform, we build to the brand you specify instead — Schneider, Mitsubishi and others can be quoted.
This matters more than it looks. A control fault on a line running perishable product has to be resolved the same shift, and that is far easier with a part your local distributor holds than with one shipped from China. Tell us your preference at the enquiry stage and we will quote accordingly.
Optional configurations
| Option | When it makes sense |
|---|---|
| Integration with an upstream washing line | Where washing, drying and grading run as one continuous flow |
| Specified control brand (Schneider, Mitsubishi or other) | Where your maintenance team and local suppliers already work with one platform |

Send your daily volume and your site conditions. We will recommend a model and explain the reasoning — including a smaller machine than you asked for, if that is what makes sense.
Why buyers choose it
- Grading before breaking keeps eggs within the size range the breaking machine is adjusted for, which protects yield and reduces shell fragments.
- Five and seven grade configurations cover both breaking operations and finer retail size classes.
- Row count and grade count are separate choices, so throughput and grading resolution can be matched independently.
- Low installed power — 0.55 kW across the range.
Delivery, packing and installation
- Lead time
- Standard models 20 days; custom builds 20 days; complete lines 40–45 days
- Packing
- Fumigated wooden crates carrying the IPPC mark
- Incoterms
- EXW or FOB Qingdao
- Documents
- Commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, material certificate, English operation manual and drawings
- Installation
- Our engineers travel to site. Typical on-site installation and commissioning is 4 days. Travel and accommodation are covered by the buyer.
- Training
- Delivered on site during commissioning: operation, routine maintenance, and a working session on your process flow.
- Warranty
- 2 years on structural parts (tanks, frames, pipework and fabricated assemblies). 1 year on electrical and electronic components (motors, controls, sensors, PLC and HMI). Excludes misuse, incorrect installation, operation outside specified conditions, lack of maintenance and normal wear parts.
Information we need to quote
- How many eggs per hour, and how many hours per day?
- How many weight grades do you need to separate into?
- Does the machine feed packing, or a breaking machine?
- Do you already have washing and candling upstream?
- Local voltage and frequency?
Questions buyers ask
What is the difference between the 5-grade and 7-grade models?
Does the machine detect cracked eggs?
